In 2015, Canada adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a shared blueprint for partnership, peace and prosperity for all people and the planet, now and into the future. At the heart of this agenda lie the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals that aim to address today’s social, economic and environmental challenges. These goals recognize that ending poverty must go hand in hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality and spur economic growth — all while tackling climate change and working to protect and preserve the environment.

EnTec is an environmental firm located on the island of Newfoundland with a determination to have a positive impact on health, safety, and the environment on a local and global scale. EnTec has been providing environmental advisory support to large-scale renewable energy projects in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, ensuring compliance with Canadian environmental legislation. They have also been developing health, safety, and environmental management systems for megaproject owners which meet the ISO international certification standards.

The transition to a cleaner, prosperous economy needs to be both an immediate priority and a sustained effort over the years and decades ahead. Canada must keep innovating to meet this long-term goal, strengthening and building on existing measures that fight climate change and transform the economy. To avert the worst impacts of climate change, the Government of Canada is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. EnTec Advisory Services is positioned to help companies meet this national objective.
